Great authentic, family run tavernas within authentic dishes. Have been in Greece for almost 2 weeks and have been looking for lamb dishes, other than moussaka up until now. Had the lamb cooked with peppers and lemon. Very big portions 1 dish will feed 2 with a salad. We ordered a side of potatoes but it was well over the top. The house red and white wines at 12 euro a litre were great.

From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and efficient—we were seated promptly, our orders taken without delay, and everything flowed seamlessly throughout the meal. The menu is thoughtfully crafted, but what truly stands out is the quality of the food itself.
The Greek salad was outstanding: fresh, generous in portion, and brimming with flavor. The tomatoes, cucumbers, and feta were all exceptional, each ingredient tasting as if it had just been picked or prepared.
We paired this with a poikilia of assorted meats, and every single item was prepared to perfection. From the tender beefteki and flavorful chicken to the rich kontosouvli and savory sausage, each bite showcased both the quality of the ingredients and the skill in preparation.

Good quality cooked food. Great sized portions and friendly service. Try the beef ribs as the meat falls off the bone.

We have been coming to this place since the day we moved to Kalamata. We tried every other place to see what their mixed grill was like, but nothing compares to this place when it comes to a mixed grill. You order small, and that's more than enough for us (two people). Today we came to have our final meal in Kalamata and move on to Crete, and the Card Machine (or that crazy government machine they have in between) to pay did not work. My wife did not have cash on her. Try tried to swipe several times, but no go. They just said, come back next time and pay. She came back to the table, and we could have walked off, but I had cash on me, so we went back in and wanted to pay, but they didn't want to hear about it. This place is the best, not just because of today, but because of all the times we ate here and the amazing mixed grill that is unmatched. Thank you, Kalamaki! We appreciate you.

Awesome Service Awesome mixed grill, The eftpos machine was not working, I said ai would go around the corner and get cash, he said Don't worry, you can pay next time, today is on us, 'our treat' I went back to my husband he had some cash, I took it back to pay to the owner, he would not accept it. Today was extra special the food was enough to feed 3 (and there's only 2 of us) and we had an amazing time. Thamkyou Kalamaki for your super mixed grill. Very good. I paid €25 (including a tip) for two menu items, two beers, and bread. The feta with honey and walnuts was spectacular.

Traditional meze restaurant that serves vegan gyros, which I totally recommend. Another vegan dish would be the falafel, but the vegan gyros is much better. They also serve non-vegan food, but I can't say anything about it. Place seemed to be almost full, which is always a good sign.

Went there several times, had the vegan gyros which was a very nice surprise, looked like was make from soy “meat”, very nice flavor, salad and fries on the side (rather under), and a big enough portion. Definitely recommended

The place is located in a nice little square, with an ol church. The food was really delicious and the stuff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place.

The service was nice and things came out fast. We were a big group and the server was very fast at putting 4 tables together and setting up everything. Everybody was pleased with the food. Would recommend the fried potatoes with cream and bacon.Very nice place with live traditional Greek music, very good food and prices. They have different Vegan options and the vegan gyro delicious.
The food was great and the place amazing. I will definitely visit the store again to try the other dishes from the menu as well. Everything was amazing !
